animal and land management, financial and tax management, marketing and sales.

Specific initiatives included industrial recruitment of forest products companies (as a

Senior policy and budget advisor and chief staff aide to the Assistant Secretary of
Natural Resources. Responsibilities included top-level policy and budget analysis of the
State’s natural resource programs, including environmental programs, forestry, parks,
fisheries and coastal management. 1981 - 1983.

Raleigh, NC. Management of five-member staff which developed Department’s
operating plans, expansion budget requests, legislative initiatives, administrative
policies, program evaluation and coordination of all data processing programs.

and Economic Resources, Raleigh, NC. Liaison to the NC General Assembly and NC
Congressional Delegation regarding all legislative matters affecting natural resources in
